Here’s the ugly truth…water borne illness and disease are a real problem in poor communities. Their drinking water often comes from stagnant pools of filthy water, where  animals drink, where clothes are washed and people bath, and that children even play in – because they don’t have any other water source.

Disease and illness flourish in conditions that are common in these communities.

That’s why ROWKIDS’ Clean-Safe Water and Sanitation campaign has been so important around the world. By providing clean, safe water filtering systems and sanitary outhouses to school and families in the communities, we’re reducing infection rates and the complications associated with unclean water, while health and hygiene training are preventing re-infection.
