DOMINICAN REPUBLIC:

ROWKIDS is currently exploring how to best serve the educational needs of children in this country, particularly beginning in the Barahona area.  In the Dominican Republic, the literacy rate is 90%. However, many of the rural schools do not receive money for teachers and buildings to provide an education for the children that includes all grades of elementary school. ROWKIDS is assessing the best possibilities to provide assistance for educational opportunities for the children in the Barahona area.
